ContactsA contact's own page

What it is

Opening a contact ("View full contact →", or tapping a row on a narrow screen) shows the person's header — name, company, role, and how they got into your contacts — with two buttons: "☎ Get [first name]" and "Edit Contact". Below the header, the page currently says "Coming soon." "☎ Get [first name]" opens a small "Roll a Call" box: pick which desk places the call (when there's more than one), pick which of their numbers, add a "Regarding" line ("optional — feeds the AI assistant's answers"), and go — the person lands on the phone sheet, the call starts, and you land on the desk's live page. "Edit Contact" opens the same edit panel as the Contacts page.

Limits

- The rest of the page (history, details in place) shows only "Coming soon." today.

ContactsYour contacts stay yours

What it is

Deskcovered reads the contacts you give it and keeps them inside your organization. Contacts never cross from one organization into another — every read and every change is fenced to your own office. There are two shelves, and you pick at import (or by the "Organization" / "Personal" tabs): - Your contacts: only you see them. They follow you if you ever leave, and your assistant recognizes them on the desks where you hold the seat. A "yours" tag marks them. - The office's contacts: everyone in the office sees and uses them. Your assistant recognizes callers from the contacts its desk can rightly see — the office's list, plus the personal lists of the people seated at that desk. How it names a match never says which shelf a person came from.

Limits

- Personal contacts don't ride the desk's shared Chat thread — chat works the office's list, and says so if asked. - Nothing writes back to your phone's address book or your Google Contacts. Import is one-way, into Deskcovered.

ContactsContacts by voice or chat

What it is

Your assistant knows the people in your contacts and keeps the list on your word.

By voice or chat

- Close spellings still land on the right card; when it isn't sure, it asks instead of guessing. - "Save Danny Chen to my contacts — his cell is 310-555-0142" files the card. "Save that caller" saves someone from the phone sheet, copying that call's own number — never a number from memory. - "Note on Danny: prefers mornings" adds to his card, dated, beside what's written — nothing is wiped. Company, role, and renames work the same way; a rename keeps the call history. - Adding a new number just lands. Replacing one already on the card gets a question first — it changes only on your yes. - "If Danny ever calls, send him straight through" flips the card's "Always put through" switch. From then on, when Danny calls from a number saved on his card, the call rings you directly. Say the word to turn it back off. - It saves someone only when you ask — never on its own. In Chat, it works the office's shared contacts and lists people without their phone digits — numbers stay on the Contacts page, off the shared thread.

Limits

- Removing a number, deleting a card, or merging cards happens on the screens only — your assistant says so plainly if asked. - Email addresses on cards are typed on screen, not spoken.

ContactsAdd or edit a contact

What it is

A contact card holds a person whole: name, company, role, a contact type, tags, any number of phone numbers (labeled office, cell, assistant, other), emails (work, personal, other), their assistants (name and email), and notes.

How to do it

1. On the Contacts page ("Contacts" in the left-side menu), click "+ Add Contact" at the top right. 2. Fill "Name" (required). Add "Company", "Contact type", "Role", and "Tags" (comma separated) as you like. 3. Under "Numbers", pick a label and type the number. "+ Add number" adds more. Emails and assistants work the same way. 4. Write "Notes" if you have them. 5. Click "Save". To edit, click the pencil on a contact's row — same panel, plus "Delete…" at the bottom. Deleting asks you to confirm ("Delete Contact"): the person comes out of contacts and the phone sheet type-ahead; past calls are not affected; it can't be undone. The card also carries two checkboxes. "Always put through" is real routing: when that person calls from a number saved on their card, the call rings you directly — no screening, no assistant in the middle. If you don't pick up, your assistant answers and takes word. Telling the desk you're unavailable wins over the flag. "VIP contact" adds a star in contact views.

Limits

- A contact needs a name — nothing else is required.

ContactsDisconnect Google Contacts

What it is

Disconnecting stops future imports from your Google Contacts. The contacts you already imported stay — to remove them, undo that import.

How to do it

1. On the Contacts page, click "⇪ Import" at the top right. 2. On the Google card, beside "Connected as" your address, click "Disconnect". What happens: the saved access keys are deleted. If this was the only Google connection on that account, access is revoked with Google too; otherwise you can cut it from the other side, in your Google Account's security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

By voice or chat

Nothing — disconnecting is a click.

Limits

- Only you can disconnect your own Google connection. - A record that the account was connected (the address and its status) is kept for the security books, as the Privacy Policy describes.

ContactsImport your contacts

What it is

You can bring your whole address book in at once — a contacts file from your phone, a spreadsheet, or your Google Contacts.

How to do it

1. On the Contacts page ("Contacts" in the left-side menu), click "⇪ Import" at the top right. 2. Drop your file on "Drop your contacts file here", or click to choose. iPhone tip on the screen: "Contacts → select all → share as a .vcf file." For a spreadsheet, click "Import a spreadsheet (CSV)" and match its columns to fields (Name is required). 3. Or click "Connect Google". Google asks you to allow read-only access, then the same "Where should they live?" step appears with the count from your account. Later the Google card offers "Import from Google". 4. Pick where they live: "Your contacts" (only you see them; they follow you if you ever leave) or "The office's contacts" (everyone in the office sees and uses them). One choice wears a "Recommended" chip. 5. Click "Import N contacts". Big lists are fine — the import shows its progress, then links past calls to the new cards. Possible duplicates show in a review step. The whole import can be undone in one act; contacts added by hand are untouched.

Limits

- It reads .vcf (vCard) and .csv files. Other files get a plain "can't read this" message. - Google Contacts import is read-only and one-way: it never changes or deletes anything in Google, and importing again only adds.

ContactsThe contact preview card and its Call button

What it is

Clicking a contact's row opens a small preview card: who they are, their tags, and their notes.

How to do it

1. On the Contacts page ("Contacts" in the left-side menu), click a contact's row. 2. Click "Call [first name]". That puts the person on the phone sheet, starts the call right away, and takes you to the desk's live page to watch it. 3. If more than one desk could place the call, the button first asks which desk. 4. "View full contact →" opens the person's own page. If the person lands on the sheet but the call can't start, the screen says so honestly — they stay on the sheet, ready to dial.

Limits

- The Call button shows only when there's a desk that can place calls, and the contact has a number.

ContactsThe Contacts page

What it is

The Contacts page holds the people your desk knows — the office's shared list and your own.

How to do it

1. In the left-side menu, under "My Desk", click "Contacts". 2. Type in the "Search" box at the top — it finds people by name, company, email, or number (tags and other names match too). 3. Switch whose list you see with the "All" / "Organization" / "Personal" tabs. 4. Narrow by kind with the "Types" menu: Talent agents, Managers, Casting, Publicists, Personal, Other. 5. Click a column header ("Contact", "Company") to sort. 6. Click a row to open and edit the contact in the side drawer. 7. Tick the checkboxes to select several, then click the "⋮" button by the search box: "Export" (downloads a spreadsheet file) or "Delete…" (asks you to confirm). On a phone, the select-all checkbox sits beside the search bar. The list stays quick with thousands of people — it keeps loading as you scroll.

Limits

- "Delete…" can't be undone. Past calls keep their names.
